DOCTORS
Born in Chicago, Dr. Witkowski attended Morgan Park Academy high school, followed by an undergraduate chemistry degree from Denison University. Dr. Witkowski graduated with his DDS degree from Northwestern University. Following graduation, he remained at Northwestern as an instructor, eventually becoming an associate professor. While teaching, Dr. Witkowski joined the practice of Dr. Robert Tanis in Calumet City. He maintained this practice in the River Oaks Professional Building until 1998 when the practice was relocated to Mokena. In 2015, he transitioned the practice to his son, Dr. LJ, and enjoys working side by side with the Iowa graduate.
Dr. LJ graduated from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2005. It is the finest institution of higher learning in the country—just ask him. Dr. LJ values taking continuing education, namely in the areas of digital dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and implant surgery. Dr. LJ is a member of ADA, CDS, ISDA, Cerec Doctors and Spear, certified in Invisalign and Kois trained. He takes pride in providing a family-friendly atmosphere in his dental practice and makes the finest balloon animals of any dentist in Mokena, IL (that’s a challenge Dr. Burton).
In his free time, Dr. LJ enjoys spending time with his three children, Penelope, James and June. With any time remaining, he enjoys reading 2-3 pages in a book with no pictures before falling asleep, losing golf balls on the golf course and going to the gym every 3-4 weeks, as time allows.
A native of Indiana, Dr. Clevenger graduated with honors from Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN, with a degree in biology in 2004. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2010. Dr. Clevenger remains committed to continuing her education, completing numerous advanced training courses in topics such as same-day CEREC crowns, Invisalign, implants and pediatric dentistry, just to name a few. Her practice philosophy centers on patient comfort and a great experience. She is excited to be the newest member of the Witkowski Dental family and join Dr. Wit and Dr. LJ in creating a fun, relaxing atmosphere.
Dr. Clevenger lives in Munster, IN, with her wife Corrie and their two daughters Chase and Riley. Outside of the office, she is an avid sports fan and enjoys cycling, working out and traveling.
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Stacey has been a dental hygienist for 12 years. She graduated in 2009 from Kennedy-King College Dental Hygiene program at University of Chicago. She is certified in administering local anesthetic and carries a license to practice both in Illinois and Indiana. Stacey has been part of the Witkowski Dental family for 9 years. Originally from the south east side of Chicago, she now resides in Northwest Indiana with her husband and 2 daughters.
I have been a dental hygienist for over 20 years and in the dental field for over 30 years. I have been married for almost 10 years and step mom to two handsome boys. When I am not golfing or spending time with family, I am snuggling with my two English bulldogs.
I have been in the dental field since 2013, first assisting and then practicing hygiene. I like the proactive nature of my career. I obtained my hygiene license in Tennessee from Remington College and recently moved back to Illinois to be near family. I now live in Frankfort and love to be by the lake and spend time with my family and travel whenever I get an opportunity!
FRONT DESK
Rachel began in the dental field as a sterilization assistant in 2015. After a few years she changed her career to child care, as she worked toward her degree in social work. She continued to work at Bobbie Noonans after graduating from Valparaiso University. Rachel began working at Witkowski Dental June of 2021 in front office administration. She enjoys musical theatre, dancing, and hanging out with her dog, Hampton.
Bonnie is a 20-year front desk employee. She has also been a patient of the office since she was a small girl. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, traveling and being with her three sons and four grandchildren.
Kelly and her husband Rick have raised their family in Mokena for the past 27 years. Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in health administration from Governors’ State University. She worked in the health and safety industry and in education before entering the dental field 13 years ago. Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and three dogs.
DENTAL ASSISTANTS
Claudia is a dental assistant at Witkowski Dental. She has been assisting for 11 years–4 of them with Dr. LJ and Dr. Witkowski. Claudia is certified in digital dentistry and nitrous oxide administration. She resides in Tinley Park and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Cassie has been a dental assistant for over 2 years. She is the office whitening specialist well as CEREC digital dentistry certified. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family.
ASSISTANT / COORDINATOR
Gracie has been a dental assistant for over 15 years. She is certified in CEREC digital dentistry and nitrous oxide administration. She especially enjoys assisting during dental surgeries. Gracie writes the office newsletters and is involved in the office social media. She resides in the southwest suburbs with her Malinois, Logan. In her spare time, she enjoys international travel and getting to experience how other cultures live and enjoy the beauty of the world.
